TriviaEdit

  • Byrrah's address to the Atlantean citizen is reminiscent of Adolf Hitler's propaganda speeches during World War II. To draw a further comparison, Byrrah's helmet is adorned with a German Iron Cross, a medal similar to those worn by wartime German pilots.
  • Glenn Talbot's name is mis-spelled as "Glen" in this issue.
  • Betty Ross is the one who first refers to Blonsky as the Abomination. The Abomination's true name is not provided in this issue.
  • Page one lists an extra credit for Story One as, "Water Ballets Staged by Irving Forbush".
  • This issue features a letters page, Mails to Astonish. Letters are published from, Bobby Stewart, Bill Mantlo, Charlie Gregor and Scott Planeta.
