Synopsis for "Power Play!"
Professor Power smashes models of the original X-Men out of hatred for their founder Professor X. In Manhattan, Spider-Man is running late and swings into an alley to change clothes. A woman in an apartment above sees him and threatens to call the police so he quickly finishes and leaves. Inside a restaurant he walks past, Archangel, Beast, and Iceman of the X-Men reminisce about their teenage years. Soon, Cyclops joins them and says Jean Grey will meet them later. In the restaurant next door, Peter nervously dines with his parents. Just as his mother assures him he can relax, his spider-sense alerts him to a bank robbery nearby. In the countryside, Professor Power destroys his son’s tombstone. Back in the city, Spider-Man and the X-Men stop the robbers from getting away. Just after the police arrest the crooks, Professor Power arrives and attacks with an energy blast. Spider-Man saves his parents from a piece of flying debris and knocks Power into a wall. As Peter sees his parents cheering him on with other bystanders, Power regroups and blasts him with eye beams. Peter’s parents flee while the X-Men regroup and assault Power. One by one, Power knocks them out, lastly subduing Cyclops by forcing his optic blasts back into his eyes. Spider-Man punches Power in the head repeatedly, but Power knocks him unconscious with a backhand and stands triumphant over him and the X-Men.
