Synopsis for "A Rose Is A Rose"
A couple with a rose garden adopt a boy so that their neighbors will be impressed by his IQ but the boy objects when they trim the rose bush because he claims that he can hear the plants crying. The mother tells the kid that they are crying with joy because they want to be taken inside and placed in vases and the kid buys it. The father questions his wife that the kid will notice when the rose blossoms fade and she tells him that she'll just swap out new ones for old ones. This keeps the kid peaceful until he catches them in the act of replacing the dead flowers and he flies into a rage. He locates an ax in the attic and cuts off their hands and feet to arrange them protruding from vases.
