Synopsis for "The Case of the Infants of Death"
The Skull has a shrinking potion which turns his victims into infants. He begins to go on a kidnapping spree.
Babara Sutton finds a job as a news photographer for the Northville Courier, so she can cover stories and perhaps, help the Black Hood. After snapping a few photos, they're developed at the newspaper office. One of her photos has a "secret" message indicating that the Skull is planning his next kidnapping. As she heads to the police station, she bumps into patrolman Kip Burland, and tells him about the photo (she does not know he is also the Black Hood). Barbara hurries to the police station, and moments later the Black Hood visits the home of the Skull's intended victim.
When the Black Hood enters the complex, the Skull makes his grand entrance too. His victim is still alive, and the Skull and the Black Hood begin to fight it out. Soon, Barbara enters the room and sees the two are still struggling. The police are not far behind her, and they come rushing into the same room. Though outnumbered, and cornered, the Skull is far from being defeated, and he grabs Barbara and leaps out the window.
Sergeant McGinty believes the Black Hood is in cahoots with the Skull, and shows him the photo Barbara took to prove it. The Black Hood takes note of a street sign in the photo, and quickly rushes out to save Barbara. His hunch about her location proves successful and he finds Barbara still safe.
Meanwhile, the Skull has gone back to his intended victim's house to finish the job. He notices that the police are inside, and surrounding the building. Somehow, he gets inside and tinkers with the fire sprinklers. Soon, vapors are chocking the police force and turning them into infants.
Once again, the Black Hood crashes in and kicks down the Skull. The Skull's nose filters fall from his nostrils and he begins to chock and turn into an infant himself. After his arrest, and a few days later, the whole police force, the Skull and the kidnapped "infants," have become adults again, due to the potion has worn off.
