The Black Hood chases him outside, were they fight high on a cliff. The Panther Man leaps off, but Black Hood does not follow. Instead, the three companions walk down the river and find a hidden cave.

Barbara is able to release the Black Hood from the statue's grip, by replacing the ruby eye. Now free, he goes after their foe and hurdles him against the cave's wall.
