Tracy Corben is the sister of John Corben, aka Metallo.

Tracy Corben's mother walked out on her family when she was very young. Her father often left Tracy and her older brother John alone and they became very close. Their father was abusive and often beat John, but when he tried to hit Tracy as well, John killed him with a gun he had hidden under his bed. John and Tracy were split up by the system; Tracy went into foster care while John was sent to military school.[1] Tracy blamed herself for John eventually becoming the supervillain Metallo, believing that if she had been strong enough to protect herself he would never have killed their father and started down his violent path. She regularly visited John in prison.[2]

Tracy was kidnapped by the Cyborg Superman to force John to obey him.[3] Henshaw ordered John to kill Superman, but Superman defeated him.[4] John and Superman teamed up to rescue her, but by the time they found her Henshaw had already forcibly converted her into a cyborg under his control.[1]

Tracy was forced to fight John, Superman and their allies. When Superboy began to disrupt Henshaw's control over Tracy and the various drone bodies he was using, he sent Tracy to attack Superboy. She was knocked away by Steel, and Henshaw blasted her in the face with his heat vision to punish her for failing. In a rage, John attacked Henshaw and ripped him apart, while Superboy broke his control over Tracy and the others. Superman struggled to repair the damage to Tracy's skull while John held her hand and wept acidic tears. John told her that she would make it, because she was one of the good guys and good guys always win.

Tracy survived and was taken to Steelworks Tower, where Steel and Natasha Irons allowed her to stay as long as she needed. John was also taken to Steelworks and imprisoned in the basement. Tracy was driven half-insane by the sensory deprivation in her new body and tried to rip off her artificial skin. When John came to visit her she told him that she was a monster like him now, but John told her that becoming Metallo didn't make him a monster. He said that he had been born a monster but Tracy was one of the good guys like Superman.[5]
