A madwoman kills her lover in their special grove rather than let him ride off to war. The townspeople are unaware of her act and over time come to suspect her lover has been killed in the fighting. One man attempts to force himself upon her and she flees to the grove. She shoves him onto her lover's sword and she takes it as a sign that one day her lover will return to her completely as he was before.
