§ Synopsis1 = Aboard two Quinjets en route to Paradise Omega, Thanos and Silver Surfer appear via hologram to offer help to the superheroes against the Goddess. On Paradise Omega, Spider-Man and the Goddess’s other converts prepare for battle. A fight breaks out when Storm calls out Jean Grey for her eager bloodlust. Spider-Man intervenes, but the two turn on him until Captain America steps in and tells them to save their zeal for the enemy. Spider-Man says they cannot be expected to slay their fellow superheroes, but Cap responds that they are at war. When Thor disables the Quinjets, the superheroes flee in escape pods and land on Paradise Omega. The Goddess’s followers split into teams of two to intercept them, and Cap pairs Spider-Man with war veteran Puck. The pair hide in a tree and ambush Firestar and Strong Guy. Puck and Firestar neutralize each other; Strong Guy beats up Spider-Man and escapes. At the Daily Bugle, Jonah walks in on Robbie and Betty developing photos for their secret story involving Jonah’s wife. To throw him off, Betty says she and Robbie are having an affair. Back on Paradise Omega, Moondragon sends Spider-Man to aid Hercules and Sleepwalker against Darkhawk offshore. Spider-Man saves Hercules from drowning and gets him ashore just as Rogue comes to confront them. Spider-Man hurls Hercules at Rogue, knocking them both out. Next, he trades blows with the Thing until Jean Grey arrives, ready to telepathically fry the Thing’s brain. Spider-Man gets between them, but then the Sun goes nova.

Notes:
'Web of Spider-Man' is the name of a comic book series starring Spider-Man published by Marvel Comics for 129 issues between 1985 and 1995. It replaced Marvel Team-Up as the third major Spider-Man title of the time.
The most frequent contributor to the book was artist Alex Saviuk, who pencilled over 80 issues of the series between 1988 and 1994. During his run on the title, Saviuk worked with a succession of writers - Gerry Conway (1989-1990), Howard Mackie (1992-1993), and Terry Kavanagh (1993-1995), and was succeeded by Steven Butler in 1994. Butler and writer Todd DeZago were the last creative team on the series before it was canceled.
After #129 in October 1995 the title was renamed Web of Scarlet Spider and started again at #1. After 4 issues of Web of Scarlet Spider the series was canceled to make way for a new The Sensational Spider-Man title.
