Synopsis for "What If...Iron Man Had Died?"
Captain America never died on the steps of the courthouse, and was tried as normal.
Shortly after a press conference detailing Steve Rogers' sentence, Tony Stark was attacked and killed by Tom Foster, who blamed Stark for his uncle's death. This action seemed to only help grow support of the Superhuman Registration Act, which lead Ms. Marvel to brutally assault Luke Cage after he mentioned wishing he could have gotten to Stark first.
With the Superhero community and the world, mourning the death of Tony Stark, the Skrulls descended upon Earth to begin their Invasion. As Uatu watched the Skrull ships headed towards Earth, he said, "It wasn't supposed to be this way..."

Synopsis for "What If...The Runaways Become the Young Avengers? (Part 2)"
Iron Lad went back in time to create the Young Avengers from a list thanks to the Vision, but this time the list had been changed to contain the Runaways instead. He arrived and began to train them to fight Kang but was interrupted when Victor Mancha, with his future self Victorious, ambushed him and took control of the team. The deception was revealed, and a fight ensued, leaving Iron Lad and Victorious dead, and Victor Mancha going back in time.
Solicit Synopsis
Every man, woman and child in the Marvel Universe remembers where they were the day that Captain America died. But what if the event that forever changed the heart of heroics had never actually happened? And what if the hero that helped define the post-Civil War era had fallen in Cap's place? Join us for a tale of death, mourning and rebirth as we ask the question on everyone's mind: "What if Iron Man had died instead of Captain America?" Featuring Part 2 of a special five part back-up story, 'What if the Runaways Became the Young Avengers?' In this issue... Iron Lad stands revealed!
Notes
- It should be noted that What if? Fallen Son disregards the Hulk's war on the world, which happened between Civil War and the Secret Invasion, unless Tony Stark's death led to the Skrulls to attack prematurely.
