Synopsis for "Serial Boxes part 6: Blowout"
In Beverly Hills, Grifter wakes up from a one-night stand and prepares to confront Smith. At the UCLA campus, Agents Mohr and Wax wait for Smith having deduced Jack Marlowe’s economic conference is actually a trap for the killer. Smith arrives and is waived in by Grifter posing as a guard. Wax reveals to Mohr he joined the National Park Service because his parents were superhumans who killed each other. He and Mohr see a fire outside and run to investigate. Hovering over the campus, Marlowe sees that it spells out his name in flame. Wax intercepts Smith and tries to talk him down while Mohr sneaks up from behind. Smith turns and kills Mohr with his heat vision then burns Wax’s hand for pulling a gun. Smith enters an empty auditorium and finds Marlowe. Marlowe taunts him, and he blasts Marlowe with his heat vision to no effect while rambling excitedly. On Marlowe’s cue, Grifter drops from the ceiling and fatally shoots Smith in the head. Marlowe and Grifter teleport away just as Wax bursts in with more agents. They find Smith’s corpse, and Wax declares the conflict over. Later, at Halo, Void confirms she has teleported Grifter to Miami and asks Marlowe if he will be going as well. He says no as his place is at Halo.
