Synopsis for "Firefight"

Kenyan’s assistant Miss Grohall plays back for him a computer-generated reconstruction of the WildC.A.T.s’ final mission six months prior.  The team deployed to a village in Northern Ireland to take down a group of terrorists genetically altered by Daemonite technology.  Having evacuated the village and planted bombs to destroy it, Grifter and Warblade battled the remaining terrorists as they prepared to leave.  Warblade headed for the WildC.A.T.s’ helicopter while Grifter went to meet up with Zealot.  On the way, he found a group of children hiding in a cellar and led them to the helicopter.  He then went back for Zealot only to watch her get shot using her body to shield two more children.  Mortally wounded, she told Grifter to take the kids and leave.  After getting them to the helicopter, he wanted to return for Zealot, but Emp refused to let him, and the helicopter took off just moments before the bombs detonated, destroying the village.  Demoralized, the WildC.A.T.s broke up afterward. Convinced Zealot is still alive, Kenyan says goodbye to Miss Grohall and leaves.
