Synopsis for the 1st Story

Pezzini and the Witchblade sense the microwave killer watching her from atop a nearby building. Pezzini climbs to the rooftop but finds only the killer’s cloak and a strange piece of fiber. Later, she examines the fiber in the police forensics lab and realizes it is made of the same material as the Witchblade. She probes the Witchblade with a scalpel, and it reacts by spreading over her body. Just as McCarthy interrupts her wanting to talk, Pezzini watches the Witchblade retract into a bracelet and absorb the fiber. As she walks McCarthy to his car, he warns her she is in danger, and she tells him she is protecting herself then walks away. At a motorcycle race in Daytona Beach, the Yakuza pays Bruce Wilder to reveal that it was Jackie Estacado who murdered one of their bosses. Back in New York, Pezzini visits Dannette Boucher in Brooklyn to find out where Lisa is. Boucher praises Pezzini’s beauty, reveals she has taken Lisa in, and says she will tell Lisa that Pezzini stopped by. Pezzini leaves a business card for Lisa and exits. Once outside, she mulls over everything she has to deal with, unaware the demon lord Mephisto is watching her.
