Synopsis for "Heir Aid"

Patch walks to the home of a crime boss named Morrow in the Wharfside neighborhood of Madripoor. Morrow and his men are preparing for a showdown with another gangster named Piggot for control of the neighborhood. Logan owes Morrow a favor, and Morrow calls it in by having Logan guard his young son Gabriel. After the boy’s nannies put him to bed, he asks Patch to tell him a story. Logan tells him about being cast out into the Canadian wilderness as a boy and being adopted by a pack of wolverines. As they taught Logan how to hunt and survive, he discovered his superhuman healing factor. Eventually, they came into conflict with a trio of fur trappers. The trappers caught Logan and put him in a cage, but the wolverines helped him escape. Patch tells Gabriel there is much to fear when you are small, and all you can do is the best you can. Hearing a noise, Patch catches one of Piggot’s henchmen breaking in and kills him. He returns to Gabriel’s room and stops two more from kidnapping the boy. Downstairs, Morrow returns with his men just before Piggot and his gang storm the house. Patch joins the fight, but Piggot’s men grab Morrow. Before Piggot can kill him, Gabriel knocks Piggot down with a cart. A Piggot henchman moves on Gabriel, but Patch kills him. After Piggot’s men flee, the police arrive to take statements. His debt to Morrow cleared, Patch admires Gabriel’s courage.
