Synopsis for "Hidden Depths part 2: Nothing's Dead Forever"

Wonder Man refuses to believe Grim Reaper has really captured their parents’ souls until their mother refers to a secret only she and Simon knew. Their father tries to calm Eric, but he just gets angry and tortures his parents. As Simon tries to stop him, Blackheart argues with Mephisto about their own relationship. Furious, Mephisto summons his demon horde, and Blackheart demands Eric’s help. Having lost a hand, Simon agrees to aid Eric against the demons so he will stop hurting their parents. During the battle, Eric regrows Simon’s lost hand with a demonic one like his own. Mephisto blasts Blackheart, and Simon is transported back to the hospital. He finds Alex seizing in pain and demands Mephisto release her. Mephisto laughs, and Simon angrily flies out the window. Seeking magical help, he finds Scarlet Witch at the Avengers Compound. His regrown hand tries to choke her so he has War Machine blast it. It releases her, but Simon wants to remove it. Beast comes to his side and talks him down. At the hospital, Blackheart and Grim Reaper appear in Alex’s room, offer to end her suffering, and kill her as Jamie watches. At the Compound, Simon has explained the situation to Beast and the Avengers, and they pledge their help. He calls the hospital to check on Alex and learns she is dead. Distraught, Simon rants about Tony Stark and lashes out at War Machine, blasting him through the wall. Simon’s regrown hand morphs into a scythe, and Grim Reaper speaks through it, summoning him. Simon breaks down, claiming his life is a lie. Wanda consoles him, and they go to bed together. Afterward, he tells her he is never coming back, kisses her goodbye, and walks outside to join Blackheart and his brother.
