Synopsis for "The Super-Show of Gotham City"
Commissioner Gordon calls Batman and Robin and asks the Dynamic Duo if they can participate in a fund raiser for the police welfare fund, the two heroes agree to participating by putting on a show recreating some of their most famous cases. When the news gets out it makes the front pages of the Daily Planet, prompting Lois Lane to go out and cover the story. When she asks Clark Kent if he is going to go, he declines, although secretly intends on showing up as Superman.
When Lois Lane arrives at the site where the show is taking place, she witnesses as Superman arrives and carves out a giant amphitheater to accommodate all the attendees. As the show begins, Commissioner Gordon introduces Batman and Robin to Henry Bartle, a man who has donated $10,000 to the fund for the rights to film the event for television.
As the exhibition begins, soon Batman and Robin begin their part of the show, having Superman fly in all their trophies from the Batcave to put on public display. The whole time the event is being filmed by Bartle's camera man, who intends to use the footage for some sinister purpose. As the reenactments begin, the show is marred by a series of accidents. After the third such accident, Commissioner Gordon calls for an end of the show for the day. When Lois becomes suspicious that someone might be sabotaging the show, Batman and Superman dismiss it as coincidence. Lois is not sold on the idea, and she becomes more suspicious when Bartle tells her that he didn't film the mistakes. Returning to the stage that night she attempts to investigate a faulty rocket that was launched earlier, when suddenly some unknown hand locks her in. She however makes enough racket to be rescued by Superman, Batman and Robin. When Lois explains what happens they still dismiss everything as coincidences.
The next day, Lois undaunted hides out in a lead lined box so that Superman doesn't see her and is shocked to see that Superman is the one behind the sabotage. When the next series of stunts all end in accidents, Lois is about to expose Superman when suddenly Henry Bartle stops rolling his camera and demands that he get his $10,000 back because none of his footage is usable. When Commissioner Gordon does so, thus breaking his contract with Bartle, Superman and Batman speak up and reveal that they fouled up their reenactments on purpose. Superman reveals to Lois that he had overheard Bartles motivation for paying to film the show: He was going to package the material as a movie titled "The Feats of Superman and Batman" and make a fortune selling the reenactments as the real events. Upon learning of Bartle's desire to exploit the footage for his own financial gain, Superman and Batman worked together to foil this plot.
With the contract broken and Bartle sent away none the richer, Superman, Batman and Robin then redo their show, this time pulling off their super-feats without any mistakes.
