Synopsis for "Atlantis Attacks part 10: I Must Go Down to the Sea Again..."
Marvel Girl streaks through the air, rendered immobile and pulled by a tractor beam. Beast is being pulled along with her having grabbed her legs to try and save her. Knowing she can sense his thoughts telepathically, he has her use telekinesis to break free. The man responsible for the beam is the Deviant lord Ghaur who wants Jean as a bride for the god Set. Seeing she has broken free, he demands his minions retrieve her. As she and Beast plummet into the South Atlantic, she telekinetically cushions their impact. Underwater, she is pulled to a water intake pipe for a nearby purification plant. Beast grabs her just before the pipe explodes, but the blast knocks him out. The squad of Atlantean warriors responsible for the explosion soon find them. Their leader Attuma mistakes Jean for Phoenix, whom he once sought as a mate, and kidnaps her, leaving his men to kill Beast. After Attuma leaves, they are attacked by Atlantean rebels led by his daughter Andromeda. While they fight, Beast swims to shore. Andromeda follows him, and he is stunned she is alive since he saw her die when they were both members of the Defenders. Andromeda explains she is chasing Attuma, and Beast realizes what has happened to Jean. Meanwhile, Jean wakes up in an air-filled underwater cell with Attuma watching her. He ignores her protests that she is not Phoenix and tries to force himself on her. She repels him with her powers so he retaliates by flooding the cell. Fortunately, Andromeda and Beast arrive before Attuma can drown her. Beast swims to the nearby purification plant with an unconscious Jean while Andromeda duels with her father. When Beast fails to resuscitate Jean, Ghaur appears to him and offers to save her life, but Beast must let him take her. Reluctantly, Beast agrees, and Ghaur pulls Jean away with the tractor beam. On the ocean floor, Attuma beats Andromeda and is about to kill her, but Ghaur claims her as another bride for Set.

Synopsis for "...That I Be Bound in a Nutshell"
Magneto arrives at Castle Doom in Latveria at the invitation of Dr. Doom. Doom wants to know why Magneto abandoned supervillainy, and he has captured a local telepathic girl to verify the answer. In addition, Doom has reconstructed Magneto’s old helmet which included circuitry enabling mind control. Having incorporated similar circuitry into his mask, Doom demands Magneto don the helmet so they can have a contest of wills or else he will kill the girl. Magneto uses the helmet on Doom and learns his origin, including the deaths of his parents, his disfigurement and expulsion from college, and the forging of his armor. Doom then forces open Magneto’s mind, learning of his escape from Auschwitz and the subsequent loss of his wife and daughter. Magneto has enough, removes his helmet, and destroys it. Because the girl has learned their personal histories, Doom dares Magneto to kill her. Realizing she is actually just a robot, Magneto destroys her and leaves. Doom removes the mind control circuitry from his mask and soliloquizes about his goal of world domination.

Synopsis for "Inferno Aftermath"
The day after the failed demonic invasion of Manhattan, FBI Agents Farber and McNulty are sent to investigate. After observing first responders cleaning up the city, they interview a team of paranormal scientists being held at a police precinct. Trapped in the Empire State Building during the invasion, the scientists now claim it was all a hallucination. Next, Farber and McNulty visit the Daily Bugle and interview publisher J. Jonah Jameson. He and a photographer reveal all pictures taken during the event came out blank. Reporter Jacob Conover recommends the two agents talk to the Avengers and X-Factor. They find the Avenger Gilgamesh clearing debris, and he gives them a terse but literal account of the invasion, but they do not believe it. Afterward, they leave a message with Ship for X-Factor to call them back. Ship notifies Cyclops, and he gathers the team to decide what to tell the FBI. Feeling the public cannot cope with the reality of the supernatural, Jean convinces the team to concoct a cover story. Cyclops calls the agents and tells them the entire event was a mass hallucination caused by an AIM hypnotic ray. Later, a demon finds a copy of the Daily Bugle in the trash with the hypno-ray explanation as the front-page story.

Synopsis for "Saga of the Serpent Crown part 10: Emperor of Death!"
Uatu the Watcher recounts Namor the Sub-Mariner’s battle with Naga, the emperor of Lemuria and wearer of the Serpent Crown. Namor destroyed Naga’s royal chamber but seemed to have killed his own lover Dorma instead of Naga. With the consent of his adviser, a priestess of Set, Naga forced Namor to fight as a gladiator in his arena. After Namor defeated Naga’s giant octopus Gigantos, Naga allowed Namor to name his next opponent, and Namor picked Naga himself. Naga attacked Namor with the Serpent Crown and revealed the woman Namor killed was not Dorma but a Lemurian woman named Llyna. Llyna’s brother Karthon, who brought Naga the Crown, heard this and beheaded Naga in revenge. Karthon briefly claimed the Crown for himself, but Namor removed it before it could take over his mind. The Serpent Crown, along with the entire city, was pulled into a pit Naga had opened during the battle. Karthon become the Lemurians’ new leader, and he and Namor parted as friends. Llyra, the priestess of Set, plotted against them both, unaware that Ghaur, a Deviant priest of Set, was monitoring her as a potential ally.
