Synopsis for "Assault on Graymalkin"
In Earth orbit, a Stark Enterprises satellite collides with a massive space station, causing it to de-cloak. In Washington, D.C., Henry Gyrich tells Val Cooper he suspects Cable is involved, and she refers him to SHIELD. G.W. Bridge learns of this and convinces Nick Fury to rejoin SHIELD. Fury then cuts a deal with Stark Enterprises chief Jim Rhodes to send a SHIELD unit to investigate. At Camp Verde, X-Force activates an alien communications array Lila Cheney got for them and sees a TV news story on the space station. Believing it to be Cable’s station Graymalkin, Cannonball has Lila teleport the team aboard. They are greeted by Professor, the station’s AI, and Sam recognizes its voice as that of X-Factor’s Ship. In Massachusetts, Vanessa finally emerges from her room having shape-shifted to look identical to Tina. In Australia, Domino finds Grizzly in an Outback tavern and asks his help to find X-Force. In a Swiss chalet, doctors are bewildered by the External Nicodemus’s deteriorating health just before he spontaneously explodes, killing them all. Fury and Bridge lead a SHIELD team aboard Graymalkin, triggering an alarm. Professor warns X-Force, and Cannonball orders the team to attack to prevent SHIELD from acquiring Cable’s technology. X-Force swiftly subdues Fury’s team, but then War Machine arrives.
