Synopsis for "The Fun House"
Cannonball, Shatterstar, Thornn, and Hidalgo search the abandoned building for Feral. Shatterstar wants to kill her, but Cannonball insists they not. When they come to the staircase where Feral and Thornn’s sister died, Feral ambushes them and takes Hidalgo hostage. Outside, Cable sends Siryn to cover the roof while the rest of X-Force surrounds the building. Hidalgo asks Feral about her family and reveals the police found the body of Harry Bellinger, her mother’s boyfriend, in a nearby building. Feral argues Bellinger deserved to die, wounds Hidalgo, and drags him upstairs. Cannonball, Shatterstar, and Thornn follow her while Cable recalls being forced to shoot his own son and declares they will not kill Feral. Thornn tries to talk Feral down, and Feral reveals Thornn got the Morlocks to take her in. They argue, and Feral takes Hidalgo to the roof. As X-Force converges on her, Thornn explains that their mother blamed the kids for their father abandoning the family, and Feral took that to heart. Their younger sister died falling down the stairs while Feral was watching her. Feral insisted she did not kill the girl, but Hidalgo remembers finding her smiling afterward. Later, Feral and Thornn’s younger brother tripped on the edge of the roof and fell to his death. Feral says he was weak and failed to save himself. Later still, Feral caught Bellinger trying to rape Thornn and killed him. Feral then admits she killed her mother after her mother killed her pet pigeons in retaliation for Bellinger’s death. Feral lunges at Cannonball, but he downs her with an energy blast, and Hidalgo takes her into custody. Her arrest makes the news, and the attack on Thornn’s transport to Ryker’s Island is blamed on the Mutant Liberation Front. Cable takes Cannonball to the woman who lured Feral to New York and devised the MLF cover story—Dani Moonstar. When Sam asks Dani why, as an MLF member, she would help them, she says she still cares about the truth and flies away on her winged horse.
