Synopsis for "Flashed Before My Eyes"

Sauron gloats to Cable over killing Cannonball as Boom-Boom hysterically cries out for Sam to wake up.  Cable recalls a mission ten years ago with his mercenary squad, the Wild Pack.  The team consisted of himself, Bridge, Domino, Kane, the super-strong giant Grizzly, and technical expert Hammer.  They raided a Hydra research facility in New Mexico to steal back a device Hydra pilfered from their clients, AIM.  Hammer retrieved the device, but doing so activated a recording of Baron Strucker warning the facility was set to self-destruct. Cable teleported the Wild Pack to their helicopter just before the base exploded.  After returning the device to AIM, the team dispersed, and Cable returned to his home centuries in the future.  Months later, Cable’s artificial intelligence, called Professor, briefed him on Cannonball’s history, including evidence that Sam lived into the 24th century.  Thinking Cannonball could be an immortal “High Lord”, Cable decided to travel back in time to mentor him.  Now, Cable fears he was wrong, and Cannonball is actually dead.  Sauron taunts him again, and Cable retaliates with gunfire.
