Synopsis for "Turning Point"
Domino demands Forge hand over the telepath she, Caliban, and Grizzly are looking for, but he feigns ignorance, sets off a flash grenade, and runs. After warning Nate to stay away through their psi-link, Forge has Mastermind pretend to be the telepath and brings him to Domino. Deducing something bad is happening, Nate runs with Theresa to join them. Domino is dubious Mastermind is her target so he conjures a massive illusion of Apocalypse to threaten her. She realizes it is a ruse and incinerates him with her energy gun. Enraged, Nate attacks her, but she evades his telekinetic blasts and holds him at swordpoint. Meanwhile, Toad wins a sword duel with Caliban and kills him, but then Grizzly kills Toad. Forge retaliates by killing Grizzly. Grizzly’s death cry distracts Domino, and Nate telepathically forces her to relive every death she has caused, leaving her catatonic. He regroups with Forge and Theresa and admits he is not yet ready to take on Apocalypse. Forge goes to confront Essex and finds Brute’s corpse. Essex claims Domino did it, but Forge knows he is lying and challenges him to a fight. While Soaron and Theresa bury the dead, Nate senses Forge being mortally wounded and runs to his side. Dismembered, he tells Nate to find Magneto then dies. Through their psi-link, Nate experiences Forge’s memories and learns it was Essex who killed him. In grief, Nate telekinetically explodes the barn they are in and, when Essex approaches, seemingly incinerates him. Essex reconstitutes in his true form, revealing himself as Sinister.
