Synopsis for "The Man Who Fell to Earth"

Nate crawls out of the impact crater where he landed and finds himself in an unfamiliar mountain landscape. Disoriented, he staggers onto a highway and gets hit by a tractor-trailer. The driver sees he is still alive and helps him into the truck. Delirious, Nate remembers the death of Forge, running into Cyclops and Jean Grey, fighting Apocalypse, and being caught in an explosion with Holocaust. Nate accuses the truck driver of working for Apocalypse, and his eye flares with energy, scaring the man into jumping out. Angry and confused, Nate blows up the truck with his psionic powers. Afterward, he learns he is in Switzerland from a road sign, telepathically shields his mind, and walks to the nearby town of Montreux. At the Xavier Institute, Professor X senses Nate’s outburst while talking with Bishop. Once Nate cloaks himself, Xavier can no longer sense him and tells Bishop that has never happened before. In Montreux, Nate wanders around watching the locals until he spots a hooded man he mistakes for Forge. When he approaches the man, Nate realizes his mistake, falls to his knees, and telepathically begs for help. The man helps Nate up, and the physical contact enables Nate to instantly understand the local French dialect. The man introduces himself as Sven Claris and takes Nate to his mountain cabin. When Sven asks Nate’s name, Nate thinks of Jean and identifies himself as “Nate Grey”. Sven leaves to get groceries, and Nate falls asleep on the couch. Later, he wakes up to a hooded woman offering him a blanket. When Nate asks who she is, she removes her hood and says her name is Madelyne Pryor.
