Synopsis for "A Question of Power"

Beast reveals he and Nate are from the same parallel Earth, that he knows Sinister created Nate, and that the M’Kraan Crystal sent he, Nate, and Sugar Man to this Earth. Beast goes on, explaining that Sugar Man sent Rex after Nate, which is why he just killed Rex, and offers to mentor Nate in using his powers. Recognizing Beast as one of Apocalypse’s henchmen, Nate refuses him, calls him the Dark Beast, and attacks telekinetically, but he tauntingly evades Nate’s strikes. Below, the passenger who flirted with Nate earlier wakes up, walks out onto the deck, and finds the crewman the Dark Beast killed. She screams, distracting Nate and enabling Dark Beast to kick him overboard. Dark Beast then takes her hostage and threatens to kill her as Nate telekinetically rises out of the water. He points out that humans dominate this Earth and invites Nate to join with him so they can conquer it. Blaquesmith monitors them, having landed his jet on a nearby island, and muses on Nate’s biological similarity to Cable. Nate again refuses Dark Beast and attacks, freeing the woman. As he and Nate fight, Dark Beast reveals Nate’s recent weak spells are fail-safes Sinister engineered to control him, implies Nate is dying as a result, and offers to save him. For a third time, Nate rejects Dark Beast’s offer and then knocks him out with a telekinetic blast. Nate says he will go to the X-Men for help. Hearing this, Blaquesmith takes off in his jet to warn Professor X.
