Synopsis for the 1st Story

On Keever’s orders, Diehard went to the Prometheus space station to oversee the opening of ancient Katellan sarcophagi found aboard a derelict spaceship.  For more information, Diehard contacted the Katellan Combat who warned not to open to the tombs.  At that very moment, one burst open, and the savage Kar’nge broke free and killed several scientists.  Worse, the ensuing violence damaged the station’s nuclear reactor.  Now, Diehard launches the survivors to safety in an escape pod and fights his way past Kar’nge to the reactor core.  Kar’nge impales him just before he causes the core to self-destruct. Diehard’s head detaches and escapes into space while the core ignites, destroying the station and killing Kar’nge. After downloading his mind to a new body on Earth, Diehard confronts Keever at the Pentagon.  Keever explains that Kar’nge was not Katellan, but rather from an offshoot race called the Kadeem, and that Kar'nge had to be dealt with to prevent him from falling into the hands of U.S. enemies.  Outraged by the lives lost, Diehard warns Keever this has become personal and storms out.

Synopsis for "A Wee Donnybrook"

Troll is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day at a Dublin pub with a group of Norwegian sailors and sexually harassing his waitress when three heavily armed midgets burst in through the ceiling.  They have come for revenge on Troll for a century-old slight, but he does not remember and mistakes them for the Three Musketeers.  They open fire, but Troll dodges all their attacks.  Finally, they identify themselves as the Ex-‘Chauns, leprechauns who lost their powers when Troll stole their crock of gold.  Troll tells them the sailors can take them to a crock of gold.  He and the waitress follow and watch as the Ex-‘Chauns board the sailors’ ship, the S.S. Crock of Gold, about to depart on a months-long polar expedition.
